" There are drugs that are used as supplement to guided psychotherapy (i.e., anti-depressants and tranquilizers) -- but none that can be used, like MDMA, as an adjunct to such therapy in order to facilitate the process of communication... it works in a matter of hours instead of days or weeks and is effective when administered infrequently (e.g., in weekly or monthly dosing intervals), thus reducing the potential for troublesome side effects. This compares favorably to the multiple daily dosing required for all of the currently available legal drugs that can be prescribed for treating depression."
